THE RECENT PROBLEMS WITH PHONE LINES WERE DUE TO A NORTHERN TRUST NETWORK PROBLEM AND WAS COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF THE PRACTICE'S CONTROL.  WE SINCERELY APOLOGISE AGAIN FOR THE INCONVENIENCE THIS CAUSED TO PATIENTS.

NEW PATIENT REGISTRATIONS

If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, come in and see us so that we can assist you to complete the relevant Registration Forms (HSCR1) and make a new patient review appointment for you with one of our Doctors.

CHANGES TO ANTE NATAL BOOKING SERVICES

The Health Board has recently changed the booking procedures for new ante natal Appointments.  Patients are now required to Self Refer to the Midwifery services in a hospital of their choice.  There are 3 hospital choices available: Please click on your preferred hospital to access Self Referral Form.

Northern Trust - Antrim Hospital

Belfast Trust - Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital or Mater Hospital

OTC (Over the Counter) Medications 

Following guidance from the Health & Social Care Board the Doctors will no longer be prescribing medication for minor symptoms and will instead refer you to your local Pharmacy to purchase these items.

We appreciate your co-operation in this new policy.

Did Not Attend  (DNA) Appointments May 2019 

Total: 81

81 Patients did not attend for their appointment with the GP or Nurse in May 2019. This represents an increase of 17 DNAs from April 2019.

In the current climate and increasing pressure for appointments it is important that patients who cannot keep their appointment make the effort to cancel it and give as much notice as possible so that this appointment can be give to another patient who is waiting on an appointment.  

You can now also do this ONLINE.  

The Practice has implemented a more rigorous DNA policy and frequent offenders will eventually be removed from the Practice list.  This has helped to almost halve our DNA appointments in just over one year but 81 wasted appointments in one month is unacceptable.

***We have REMOVED 3 patients from our list in 2018 for constant DNAs of appointments.

***NB: We welcome feedback on our services and how to improve them but if you want to email us via the website about something you are not happy about and state that you do NOT want to be contacted then your points will be taken on board but you will not be able to be informed of the outcome of your email!
